Thank you Guilford Businesses!
|
On January 12, 2013, the Guilford Police Department and the Connecticut State Liquor Control Agents from the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection, in cooperation with D.A.Y., The Connection, Inc.'s Prevention Services, and the Governor's Prevention Partnership conducted alcohol compliance checks within the Town of Guilford. The purpose of this cooperative initiative is to reduce youth alcohol use and abuse by eliminating the ability of Guilford Youth to access alcohol.
The following businesses were visited by trained underage volunteers who attempted to purchase alcohol using their own valid ID's, showing them to be underage. These merchants refused to sell to minors:

The Guilford community is grateful to these establishments for valuing our youth and protecting their health and safety by not selling alcohol to minors.
