This is the kickoff event for the Guilford D.A.Y. Week, conceived and led by youth. It is an opportunity for people of all ages to run or walk and enjoy an explosion of color while helping people in recovery on their path to a good life. The color purple is used to symbolize youth sobriety. The youth use purple to visibly commit to living clean and show that they are in the majority. Adults use purple to demonstrate their support for our youth and their values. Everyone commits to helping each other, especially those who need encouragement and recovery support. The Details ·The 5K course goes from the fairgrounds to Jacobs Beach and back.
